The discussion was opened by Dr Tobias Ruettershoff, acting head of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation Serbia and Montenegro office, with the key question of how the “new normal” in the context of the war in Ukraine will shape the future of media.

The comprehensive discussion about the diverse media arena in Serbia and its challenges due to the war in Ukraine was initiated by Milica Kulic, Associate Professor at the Faculty of Political Sciences at the University of Belgrade, Suzana GrubjeΕ‘ic, Deputy Chairman of the Center for Foreign Policy in Belgrade, and Mijat Lakicevic, journalist and deputy editor-in-chief of the weekly “Novi Magazin”.

This workshop aimed to address the impact of the war in Ukraine on the media arena, both in Ukraine and in Serbia, and the challenges faced by journalists and the media industry.
